An Easy Pilau Recipe

 


This is one of the recipes one will always get right.πŸ˜„


INGREDIENTS 

fresh grounded
                       coriander seeds1/4 tsp
                       cumin seeds1/4 tsp
                       black pepper 1/4 tsp
                       cardamom1/4 tsp
                       cloves 1/4 tsp
                        cinnamon  sticks1/4 tsp
3 medium chopped onions
bay leaves
fresh ginger and garlic( just enough)
11/2cup rice
salt
3 cups water
enough oil
1/2 kg meat( boiled).

PROCEDURE 

1  Boil the meat in  whole bayleaves  and ginger this and garlic this will infuse the water and  have a great taste....... once it's done drain it and remove the bayleaves ginger and garlic

2  Heat oil in a pan... let it heat then add in the already drained meat.... just lightly brown them.Do not steam. when it's done set aside.

3 In the same pan Fry  the onions .. in it add 2 whole bay leaves 2cinnamon sticks and little cumin seeds.Fry the onions until they are golden brown in colour.. just make sure it doesn't burn .then add crushed ginger and garlic .. let it cook and add in the meat stir for about 2 minutes


4 Add in  the  washed rice ..give it a good mix to absorb the flavours mix it well.and let it cook for 3 minutes, then go in with water.. and a little salt . N/B.. to 1 cup of rice use 2 cups of water.

Reduce the heat after  it comes to a boil.... let it cook  slowly until the water dries up then  let it sit for about 15 minutes

     Remove the whole ingredients then serve .
